Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.

They maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain, prevent disease and optimise function.

Research shows that physiotherapy is very beneficial in the management of anxiety, depression, addictions and mood disorders by promoting release of  “feel good” hormones and inducing relaxation.

Chronic pain is often present in patients with stress and depression. Reducing pain with manual techniques and educating patients on how to manage their pain can contribute to the management of their depression and anxiety.
